Question

How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

Hi guys,

I subscribed to figma not because I just wanted to use Figma Make. I thought the AI worked for designs as well, just like https:sleek.design, but unfortunately for me, what is made, can’t be edited on Figma Design. How do I cancel this subscribtion. It’s been taking almost £22 from my account monthly - no matter what I do.

Many thanks.

Hi,

I did paid them annually upfront for collab seat. It upgraded my account to full seat mode when I edited the file from the figma make and the billing was projected to recurring $166 per month going forward (I don’t how it managed to calculate that just from a touch). I canceled the plan and I contacted the support to cancel the bill because that was “Unintentional”. The support person assured me that I won’t get a surprise bill next month. But turns out I do. I got charged on my credit card even though I canceled my plan. How crazy can it get? Well, I have spent my whole morning on a Saturday instead of me sipping a coffee and having a relaxed Saturday trying to find the “Cancel” button. It doesn’t have any options to up cancel that and figma just effortlessly plans to bill me every month. Am I missing something I do see any options to Cancel as it is canceled, but I do get charged every month. What can I say? Isn’t this just wonderful?

Hey @Suman Osti, thanks for laying all of this out and I'm sorry to hear about the trouble. I understand how frustrating it is to feel like something was resolved and then see an unexpected charge come through.

I'm not able to access billing details from Figma Forum, but I've checked in with our Product Support team and they're actively reviewing your case. Your ticket number is: 1818894, and they'll follow up at the email tied to your Figma account as soon as they have an update.

Appreciate your patience — please keep an eye on your inbox for next steps.

Same problem here. Why is it so easy to subscribe, but so difficult to unsubscribe. Regulators should look into it. Appears illegal. And no - I cannot access my Team Settings>Plan & Billing

EExactly. This is pathetic. For such a platform. To make the. Cancelation for the subscription. Such a headache.

came here to complain for the same fucking thing as everybody. Why a design company can’t make the cancellation process easy or is it deliberate?
Why I can’t cancel here?

this only frees up my seat so somebody else can take it. ok hmmm, where do I do that then?
maybe in the billing section?

hmm can’t see anything here, ou there is a view plans, it has to be there!

that’s weird… i can only upgrade from here.
Then where is it? It was in the Settings > Plan > Cancel Plan where it blends with everything else as a menu. Why not in billing and you have multiple places for that. its sooo confusing.

I can confirm. It feels like being scammed.
This is made so complicated and hidden, on purpose.
Only by this fact, I am not willing to ever subscribe again.

This must surely be illegal. I just spent 30 minutes trying to cancel the subscription and I dont even know if it’s canceled now. Is there a seperate billing for Figma Make….?

How can a company delievering a UX product have such horrible UX themselves?

Awful practice from a design company. Shameful, you’re a cool company and this just seems like money grabbing end game shit

Even if you manage to cancel your subscription, you might still get charged next month.

Can’t wait for regulators to look into your practices here, Figma! :)
