How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

I’m writing here because it’s extremely hard to find where to cancel plugins purchased from the Community. 

I was surprised because today I was charged for a subscription that I only agreed to paying one month for.

To unsubscribe, you need to click your username in the top left and select “Settings”

 

Then go to the Settings>Community tab and you can see the purchases under Community Purchases

Yeah this total scammy behaviour won’t have me subscribing to Figma ever again.

 

I guess Figma has now entered the ens***ification stage.

this is embarrassing, but they’re making tons of money so I guess they’re okay with it.

This worked for me. No doubt they’ll change it soon, but for now it’s good.

Jumping in here to say I agree unsubscribing is so complicated compared to subscribing that feels like made in purpose, not a great looks for Figma.

Canceling my subscription is difficult and disgusting on Figma’s end. This will destroy customer loyalty.

Hi, this is what I have received from the support team, and for now I have cancelled it (the next renewal will not count, at least this is what they have claimed):

 

Hi! I'm Figma's AI Support Agent. Thanks for reaching out.

You can cancel the Professional subscription from your team settings, and you’ll keep access to Professional features until the end of the current billing period; canceling does not delete your account. Source

1️⃣ In the file browser sidebar, locate your Professional team.
2️⃣ Select Admin.
3️⃣ Select the Settings tab.
4️⃣ In the Plan section, select Cancel plan.
5️⃣ Choose the cancellation reason, then select Cancel plan to confirm.

If you also want to remove the team after canceling, say so and I’ll outline those steps too.

By using Figma email support, you confirm that you agree to Figma's Privacy Policy and understand that responses provided by Figma's Support AI are not legally binding.

 

 

Go to the following page; I hope everyone that intends to cancel the subscription will manage to do it.

 

 

They are using the so-called ‘obstruction’ (or ‘roach motel’) dark pattern to hide the unsubscribe page. For upgrading you need only less than 1 minute, but for degrading you might need more than 20 minutes, and you will have to contact the support email to find out the answer; the cancellation page is well hidden, and normally people would never go to the 'admin' page to cancel a subscription. It’s a trick used by so many companies to make unsubscribing harder than it should be. Shame.

After searching for 15 minutes, I finally found it. But I will never subscribe to Figma again.
