Desktop app blank white screen/crash

Tried all the fixes above but both the desktop App and browser crash after eating up to 30GB+ of RAM. WTF?

The same thing happened to me today after updating the latest version, although it only tends to crash the design file when I select layers with the control key and left-click. I have tried the fixes above, however, it still happens.

I’m also running into this issue on Windows 11. Opening the file in Firefox is a working workaround for me.

Same here - Figma dont give a **** on this problem… paying for this and cant work.
Thinking of going back to Adobe Creative Cloud.
Unusable piece of **** what i liked in Figma, NOW i hate it

Same problem here. Didn’t have that issue in previous version. After update is hard to work with bigger or many project’s open at once. Hope they will sort it out in next update…

Click on the arrow on top bar on the right side and click on the “New Window”, its open a new figma app and you will see all your projekts.

here is my 5 cents:
I have experienced the same problem on my desktop application (win 10 - 64), and after reading a lot of posts on this forum (without any valid, clear and serious solution from Figma, which is the worst part of all this) it occurred to me to open the conflicting project in Firefox and voila! the problem disappeared.

It seems that there is some conflict with some chrome extension in my case (god knows which one), and I guess it will be the same in many cases here.

And Figma team: Yes! I want to revive this topic because your support is a quite lack of creativity.

same with me dud, when i open Figma my desktop flickering, and try to open another page flickering still effect, did u solved ur problem?

Hi! I was experiencing the same issue, but I use chrome on a ubuntu OS. I tried to open into a firefox browser and all was working fine, but in chrome all screens became white or black. So after some search i tried to DISABLE HARDWARE ACCELERATION in this screen “chrome://settings/system” and now everything was just fine. 🙂

I am still getting this problem and it almost 3 year sense this has been reported as a problem?
