When I click on a component, it disappears, even if it’s visible on the frames. Any reason why this wonderfully buggy and bloated application is doing this?

We are not aware of this issue. To get this troubleshooting process started, can you make sure your layer is on the frame?
Can you also share a quick video recording? Please include the whole window, with the properties and layers panels in view and relevant layers expanded, and select any layers you’re having trouble with so we can check any relevant settings.
