Thank you for taking time to answer. Both the canvas and the Interface scale were already at 100%, which is exactly the issue.
100% windows UI + 100% canvas + 100% Figma interface scale should show a 1920px frame full screen width with all UI elements hidden.
The UI option “make smaller” is not an option because I need to see what the design looks at 100% screen res.
With 100% scaling in OS, Figma’s UI and canvas, everything should be fine. Could you share a video, screenshots or a link to a file with this issue?
Hi there,
If your Figma frame doesn’t fit your screen width at 100% zoom, even with Windows scaling and Figma interface scale at 100%, try these steps. First, toggle Windows display scaling to 125% and back to 100%, then restart Figma.
Confirm your monitor resolution is set to native 1920x1080 with the correct refresh rate, as custom rates can cause display issues. You can also clear Figma’s cache by closing the app, going to (%AppData%\Figma), and deleting the cache folder.
Testing the file in a browser can reveal if it’s an app-specific issue. If the problem persists, reinstall Figma or you can also contact the support team.
Thank You,

I found the issue. What happened is the following:
- Open laptop, start Figma
- Connect laptop to higher resolution external monitor (and close laptop)
RESULT: UI scaling is skewed
WORKAROUND: While on the external monitor with laptop closed, Restart Figma to load it in current screen’s resolution/scale.
Not pretty but it works for now. No idea if this is a Figma or Windows issue
Unfortunately I just noticed the scale is still off. I screen-shot something from the browser and as soon as I paste it in Figma, it is larger than the original browser - even at 100% canvas zoom 😦
