Issue: Auto layout shows Fill container but behave as fixed size

Mike_Ramos

Auto layout sometimes shows Fill container, but the frames behave as fixed size.

I can’t be sure that the fill container is working just by looking at the inspect panel. I have to resize the related frames to be sure it is working.

I had the same issue here… but don’t worry, it’s simple to solve… Go to your auto-layout settings and just select other options like “Fixed” and change again to “Fill container”, should work…

I’m wondering that after Auto Layout 2.0 update this still is a thing and wasn’t fixed yet.

Apparently, it is fixed. I tested and could not replicate the bug anymore.

I tested it again, and the problem remains. Sometimes a frame is set to Fill. If wrapped by another framer set to Auto layout, the original child frame remains “Fill,” but the width/height remains fixed. I have to set it to hug or fixed, then back to fill for it to take effect again. The main problem is that the UI tells me that the frame is set to Fill, but I can’t trust it, so I have to double-check every time.
