Is it possible to vectorize the drop shadow effect?

I’ve tried flattening, and/or outlining the stroke of the shape, but no cigar. Seems this should be possible, at least when the blur is set to 0.

Very simple - I’m recreating a logotype. The logotype has text with a 0 blur drop shadow. I thought I’d apply a dropshadow effect and then outline/vectorize the result, instead of manually duplicating the shape, and offsetting it (which is what I ended up doing).

No, it isn’t possible even when the blur is set to 0. Why do you need this?

Got it, yeah duplicating the shape is the only solution here (and if you ask me, it seems even better than using drop shadow).
