Check your structure, you should have Hug resize on the component like you have, but also on the content frame/autolayout inside it to fit with the manual resize of the component like that 👇

I tried it and set Hug Resize in horizontal on all struture, the component or variant, the content inside the component.

But as you can see, it is not possible to change the horizontal size 😦

Could you show me the “primary” layer to see what you set on it?

or send me the Figma link i will duplicate it and show you what’s broken 😉

Based on your structure, you need to set the “Fill container” horizontally for the “Button” instance.
