Cannot change text font-weight inside instances

Hmm, it seems that for certain fonts, if the text is linked to the text property in the component, it will have this behavior.

I’m having the same issue with not being able to update font weight within in instance. One thing I did realize is you can use key board shortcuts for bold, underline, etc and it will override but Figma really needs to investigate this one.

Same-- we can only make text inside of an Instance bold, etc, if using Keyboard shortcuts. It does NOT stay as an override if the changes are made through the Properties panel

This is a bug, and it’s already under investigation. Keep in mind that text style overrides currently do not include intermediate font weights (Extra bold, Semi bold, etc.) :
