Hey there. You can import PDF on Figma (or FigJam) with a free plugin I made, called Super PDF.

Figma

Right now PDFs are imported as images and you can adjust the scale for higher quality. Soon improvements are coming to it.

You can also open and read (view) a PDF inside Figma or FigJam with Super PDF, as you’d normally do with a PDF viewer.

I hope that helps to solve the issue for now.

Hi there! We currently support importing any generic PDF file, although import quality can vary and the content is typically processed as static images or text.

We also support importing Mural, Miro, and Lucid PDF files into FigJam, as well as importing Jamboard files directly via Google Drive. For these file sources, we’re able to import content with higher fidelity.

You can learn more about importing from each specific file source with these Help Center articles:

how do I import a pdf and just keep it as a PDF? I just want to be able to have an image of the pdf and extract pages from it (like I can in Miro). Right now, when I import into FigJam, it converts it to text/images and everything gets messed up.

I am running into the same issue… Any luck so far?

Have you tried the plugin pdf.to.design? You can import PDFs as either images or editable frames, and they’re processed locally on your computer so your PDFs are always kept private.
