Increase Font Upload Limit

Hi @Junko3,

I just came across this thread as my organization ran into the same limit. The problem is, the font in question is the latest version of Apple’s “SF Pro” font, which exceeds 20MB. SF Pro contains all SF Symbols, and we have used the font for the last several years to back the iOS portion of our library’s icon system. Now we can’t access any of the new symbols in SF Symbols version 6 in Figma.

Neither of the two proposed solutions would work for us. Due to IT restrictions at our organization, local installation isn’t an option, nor is cutting down the font itself (I’m not the font’s author and font editing software is unavailable to me here).

The only workaround I can use is to assign one of the other San Francisco fonts (SF Compact, SF Display, SF Text, or even various weights of SF Pro italics), because these different styles affect standard letter forms but not SF Symbols. Still, it’s a weird hack. Ideally the size limit on fonts would be raised or eliminated—or maybe you and Apple could meet in a SF coffee shop and ink a deal to include SF Pro within Figma itself!

Thanks,
Mark
