Hello there. I’m just getting started with figma, learning it along with several tutorials. now i’m trying to make a component with different stats (hover, click) but it seems impossible. 
tutorials all suggest i do go to variant section after creating a component, but there is no such section in my figma. i also can’t find any information about if the properties section might be the new variant section, but even if i could find about how to use that… (boolean? what?) hope somebody could help me! 
They moved it to the top with the new release:
