The font is installed, Font installer is installed. Neither the browser nor the program displays the new installed font, although the ones I installed earlier appear. They seem to appear over time. I don’t understand what the problem is, I haven’t tried reinstalling the program yet, but I’m not sure that this will help. BTW, other programs can see installed fonts just fine
Might need some more info.
What FONT?
Can you post the file for us to try?
Have you tried clearing the cache (if desktop Figma)?
I JUST recreated a component and deleted the old one…and my design file still thinks it is in the library. Like I can choose it! But I cannot “go to component.” So I am trying to clear my cache and make Figma forget.
Always a method to try before you go reinstalling things. Which is likely not the answer.
The “other programs” part is annoying huh!? I DID see another post earlier where Figma said their problem was a font conflict in Figma. And I have had problems with fonts when the Roboto font is enabled. It conflicts in the CHROME browser.
To me if feels like a font conflict or a cache issue without a more investigative look.
I have the same issue. I installed a Google Font and it won’t appear in Figma. My colleague also has the same issue. I expect any locally installed font should appear in Figma instantly. To test, one of the fonts is called Ojuju. I wonder if there is an incompatibility problem with some fonts.
Hey @Esray, sorry to hear this is happening!
@KennLucas’s suggestions above are a good place to start.
Is this happening in the desktop app, the browser, or both? With Chrome browsers in particular, we’ve recently discovered that certain browser extensions will block your local font access in Chrome.
You can check if local fonts are enabled in Chrome by opening your account settings here:
If you do see your Fonts shown as enabled, and you have Chrome browser extensions, I’d recommend disabling all extensions, clearing your browser cache, and opening Figma again to see if this clears the issue.
I use the desktop version of Figma. Just in case, I followed your advice, but it didn’t fix anything. I count on your help! Thank you!
Thanks for following up!
What OS are you using?
You also mentioned in your original message that “They seem to appear over time.” Please note that after installation, you do need to reload any open files to start using your newly installed font.

Windows:window:. Yes, that’s right. Fonts appear in the program over time. I still haven’t figured out at what specific moment, hahaha, but they seem to be living their lives.
