Hi! I was wondering if anyone could help with this issue please? When I try to view a prototype in Full Screen, the graphics become blurry (I’ve attached an image of the problem). If it’s not in full screen, the graphics are perfectly fine. I’m encountering this problem in Chrome and in the Desktop App. I’m working on a 27-inch iMac 2020. I’ve checked my internet connection and checked my pixel preview is disabled. When I present prototypes to clients, it’s frustrating when the graphics appear so fuzzy. Is anyone else encountering this or know of a fix please? Thanks!
Yep, I have the same issue. Graphics are crystal clear in prototype mode, but when I go to full screen everything gets super pixelated. It’s really frustrating because I’m trying to present to clients and I can either have my graphics clear surrounded by the Figma UI, or I can have blurry graphics by themselves.
Plus one on this!
This is the exact same problem I’m experiencing - I’ve not found a solution yet but did notice that I wasn’t having this issue on my MacBook. The problem only occurs on my iMac which is strange. If anyone finds a solution, please let me know as I’m having to present websites to clients surrounded by the Figma UI and it looks really unprofessional.
Hey everyone, this seems odd
I would need more information on this issue to reach out to the teams internally and investigate futher.
-
Is this happening in the desktop app, in the browser or both?
-
Can you also confirm if you are using the latest OS and what version you are on?
-
Are you only seeing the blurriness on a specific file and font size only or is it happening across other files?
-
Does this happen across other sites or programs as well?
-
Have you tried restarting your device?
Thanks in advance!
Hi!
-
It’s happening in the browser and desktop app
-
Yes I’m using Mac OS Sonoma 14.5
-
I’m seeing it on all files and font sizes, specifically when I put my prototype into full screen mode - at any other size it’s fine
-
This is just happening on Figma
-
Yes and this hasn’t fixed the issue
Thank you!
Hey,
- I tried only desktop
- Using a Macbook Air (closed) with an external screen
- Using latest os (Sonoma 14.5)
- All screen, when i use toggle fill screen (Z) in full screen mode
- Only Figma
- Tried restarting
- I used an external TV to present yesterday where the problem was not present
- Attaching screenshot from my LG-screen of the issue
Thank you so much for the help!
I’ve just flagged this internally with the team, will get back to you once I get more information. Appreciate your patience in the meantime!
Hello Everyone.
I had the same issue.
Seems to be resolved when I set my screen resolution to the max - makes me thing it is some resolution interpolation related issue.
hope it helps
Thank you for the advice @Carlos_silva
I’ve just changed my resolution settings, but I’m still having the same problem in my Figma prototypes. Thank you for the help though!

Same here! But for me it is only happening when running prototype in presentation mode and make it full screen on external display, in my case it is regular office monitor from Dell
- some part become blurry and pixelated and other part crystal sharp on the same screen
- while other screens are completely blurry and become sharp only during Smart Animation for a brief period of time
This issue is frustrating because we are doing demos of product suite to prospect customers using Figma prototype. When running prototype from macbook everything is fine, but I can’t control what screen team is going to use to show demo.
I’ve done this thank you and replied to the support email with these details
Hey @Alex_Masliiev, thanks for reaching out and I understand your frustration!

Same issues for me in the Figma app on Mac. I’m on an iMac 27" from 2019.
None of the things above solve anything.
The strange thing is that some things are sharp but some images and texts get low resolution only in the fullscreen mode.
Hi, I have the same problem.
Using macOS Sonoma 14.5,
My displays are LG 27UL850-W (3840x2160) and Apple Studio Display (5120x2880).
Both occur when scaling to 2560x1440 from macOS display settings.
LG monitors are available in dot-by-dot (3840x2160) to work around this issue.
But, Apple Studio Display cannot be used in dot-by-dot.
Attached is a screenshot taken with the LG monitor. I hope it will be fixed
Hey everyone, thank you for sharing these information with us. I am going to forward it to the teams.
I’ve had a look into the support tickets from the previous users who flagged this issue and it looks like the engineers weren’t able to pinpointed the exact cause of the issue yet. As of now, we don’t have an immediate solution in place.
To be transparent, the engineers cannot investigate this matter further at the moment. Please know that we understand how this situation is affecting your work, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
I’ll make sure to reach out and let you know if there is any progress.
Thank you!
Think I have the solution, but really we need a workaround.
This problem is resolved if you disable HiDPI on Mac. I was able to do this using ‘Better Display’ app.
