Hello @Adrian_Van_Cooten, Thank you for reaching out about this!

Currently, we don’t have information on whether you’ll be able to use plugins like Unsplash. However, we are aware of the interest in plugin support for Slides. I’ve shared this feedback with our team.

I believe this would make a great feature request, so I’ve moved this topic to “Share an idea” to increase visibility and engagement. This way, others who are also interested in this can vote on your idea. Please feel free to vote on your own.

As a side note, you can check the currently supported plugins by clicking on the Figma icon in the top-left corner > Plugins > From Figma.

Thank you once again for reaching out!

yes please! Would be great for pitch decks or brand presentations to be able to use Unsplash within Slides. For now, we will wait with using Slides because of this.

I was using Figma Slides and didn’t understand why plugins didn’t work as it says “Unavailable in Only View”. Because of this simple message I spend SO much time thinking what could be wrong with file’s permissions, since I was the only owner. I PAYED a pro-plan, when I’ve a educational plan which is free, to solve the permissions “problem”. Only to find out that there isnt plugins in Figma Slides, yet.

So yes Figma, change that message to just Unavailable or whatever. It’s confusing.

Hi @sarammaio, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on this matter!

I completely understand that the appearance of the [unavailable in view-only] display on the plugin menu could be confusing. We are already aware of this and I’ve shared your experience with our team.

Please remember to vote on your idea. If anyone would like to see this improvement, please show your support by voting for it.

Thank you once again for your valuable input and understanding.

I miss the easyness with which I can add different things or do stuff on a “normal” design file on the Slides, such as the plugins
