Is there any option to uninstall plugin or remove from recent?
I want remove these.
Oh right. I guess thereās no way to remove these.
Whatās interesting is that you have in the dropdown only āRecentsā but for me itās āSaved and recentā and I have in the list all saved plugins first and at the end recent ones.
There was a 'Manage plugin ā option in settings; itās not available in new versions.
@Marian_Brchan ā It changes based on your origin. Directly from Resources, it will be āSaved and recentā. From Plugins > Find more pluginsā¦ or Main menu > Plugins > Find more pluginsā¦, it will be āRecentsā (which also persists until another selection is made in that dropdown).
Overall, this has been an ongoing struggle for quite a while. The process of managing plugins has changed a lot over time and at this point itās deteriorated to being seemingly impossible to remove them.
However, Iāve found that if you sign out of your Figma account, then sign back in, this will remove the recently used plugins, leaving only the saved plugins.
Kind of bizarre, but at least possible.
Thanks for yor answer. Cristal clear.🙏
Iām using the desktop version of Figma, how do I remove the plugin? Iāve read remove it from local storage as āits not installedā, but for the desktop version how do I get rid of a plugin?
Hey @BayArea415! The list of recent plugins is stored in Local Storage. Clearing this storage will clear out the list of recent plugins and other Figma settings.
Hereās another workaround how to clear the desktop app cache on a Mac:
- Quit the Figma desktop app
- Open Terminal.app and enter the following command:
rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma"
- Try opening the desktop app again
And hereās how to clear the desktop app cache on Windows:
- Close the Figma desktop app
- Open the Start menu, and paste in this, followed by enter:
%APPDATA%\Figma
- In the window that opens, delete the
Desktop
andDesktopProfile
folders if they exist - Launch the desktop app again
Hope this helps!
