No Armenian fonts

There no fonts available in the web version for armenian. They exist in google fonts, (Noto Sans Armenian) but they are not available in Figma.

Is there a way this can be fixed?

Hi @Yasha ,
Hmm it looks odd, I am able to find the Noto Sans Armenian font on my end.

Can you try restarting your Desktop App and then if the font is still not visible, can you try clearing your Desktop App cache?

Here’s how to clear the Desktop App cache on a Mac:

  1. Quit the Figma Desktop App.
  2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command: rm -rf "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma/"{Desktop,DesktopProfile}
  3. Try opening the Desktop App again.

and how to clear the Desktop App cache on Windows:

  1. Close the Desktop app.
  2. Open the Start menu, and paste in this followed by enter: %APPDATA%\\\\Figma
  3. In the window that opens, delete the Desktop and DesktopProfile folders if they exist.
  4. Launch the Desktop app again.

If this doesn’t help, try downloading and installing Noto Sans Armenian Fonts to your computer device. If you’re using Figma in the browser, make sure you also have Figma’s Font Helper downloaded in order to use your custom font.
More information on that here: Use Local Fonts with Figma Font Helper.

Thanks but this does not work no linux.

Thank you for the detail on Linux. To give some clarification, Figma at this time does not natively support any local font usage in Linux for web browser and we do not have a native desktop application for linux either.

The only way that a local font can get recognized in Figma on a computer running linux is if you are currently using a third party font helper such as this: GitHub - Figma-Linux/figma-linux-font-helper: Font Helper for Figma for Linux x64 platform.
Or a third party desktop such as this: https://snapcraft.io/figma-linux

Hope it helps!
