Does anyone know where I can find an index explaining all the Figma layer panel icons? I find them frustratingly non-intuitive and confusing.
I haven’t been able to find an official source that explains what any of them are, both common and uncommon occurrences. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Might just have to build it myself if no one replies…
It’s a little bit outdated but there isn’t that much more to it. What’s missing is the icon for component variants, masks, and slices (which practically no one uses anyway). One thing that isn’t explained very well is that shape icons gives you a thumbnail of what the shape looks like, so it’s not only a star as in the example.

We made one for our Figma onboarding document (Wouldn’t let me upload an image so I dropped it into a Figma prototype).
