I bought Figma professional 2 days back and paid for 1 year, and I moved my past projects to the teams. Today I got email saying there are 25 user seat got upgraded. How can they not inform me in advance about it. I removed access of all of them immediately. I don’t know how can Figma be so unprofessional , or rather using their market monopolist to cheat on us. I am not going to pay 25*$15 = $375.

I want to stop using Figma Professional all together. I am not allowed to share my file to anyone which make no sense to me. It’s like i am working in a draft.

From what I understand, you were notified about 25 seats added to your Professional Plan. You mentioned that you moved files into the team, which may be what led to these upgrades taking place. I’d like to help explain why this might have happened.
When files are moved into a paid team, from your drafts or another team’s project, any collaborators with can-edit roles are given full seats so they can continue working on those files.
I want to reassure you that you have the ability to review and adjust seat assignments if there have been any additions over the last month. The email notification you received was intended to help with this process, and I’m glad you could make some adjustments, though I understand this was unanticipated.
One thing that might help is knowing that Viewers are always free on every plan. To prevent Viewers from upgrading to paid Editor seats, you can downgrade them to “Viewer-restricted” and even set “Viewer-restricted” as your team’s default. This way, you can share files freely without unexpected charges.
Lastly, I see you’ve already reached out to our Product Support Team. I’ve escalated your ticket to ensure we can review the details of your plan thoroughly and get back to you as soon as possible.
I have removed them all. But the bill amount of $15*25 is not something I am going to pay. I am extremely dissatisfied with the overall experience of Figma Professional Plan. That’s why i am also requesting refund for it. Never going to buy Professional plan again nor recommend anyone.
