How can I soften the edge of an image?

See the screenshot attached. How can I soften the bottom edge of the image? What would be the easiest and most efficient way?

Hi there,

Thanks for the post! This might not be the most efficient method, but I think creating a rectangle and adding a gradient is a pretty easy way to do it.

I also hope other community members will join in and share their thoughts!
