Help! The new Figma UI is very intuitive, any chance I can change back to previous version? It really slowing down my productivity…
Hi @Holman_Yuen, Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us.
To assist with the transition to UI3, everyone has the option to switch between UI2 and UI3 to help adjust to the redesign. Here’s how you can do it:
- When you open a design file, you will notice a (?) icon in the bottom right corner.
- Click on the icon to open the Help and resources menu.
- Within this menu, you will find the option “Go back to previous UI.”
As a side note, when you have some time, you can learn more about UI3 in this guide:
I hope this information is helpful!
Thanks again for reaching out.
YES!! thank god! Thanks for helping, I was very suffering finding just one button to switch content fill or hug…
Thanks for sharing which features were difficult to find for you!
I understand that finding your way around the new UI can take some time.
Just a quick reminder: The article I brought up earlier can be a great resource for you. You can still find all the features you’re used to. They’re just organized a bit differently.
For Hug content and Fill container, Explore auto layout properties Help Center article is available for both previous UI and the UI 3. You can toggle between them by using toggle at the left bottom of the page to see how things work in both UI.
Also, if you’re just starting out with UI3, turning on Property labels might help you to learn what each property does.
Here’s how to turn them on:
- Navigate to the right side properties panel
- Look for the dropdown menu next to the zoom percentage.
- Click on it
- Select ‘Property labels’ from the options.
I hope this makes navigating the new UI a breeze for you.
