Figma Slides: Option to clip slides on export

Sophie26

Another QOL
Ability to clip content on slides (or even just on export) so that the content outside the slide is not in the pdf

When exporting as a pdf, any object that overflows the slide is exported in its entirety and not clipped. This is unexpected behavior in comparison to other slide softwares like Keynote. I’d love for at least a toggle option to clip the content.

Hey All, thanks for the feedback!

We’ll pass this onto the Slides team for future consideration.

Would like to have “Clip content” as an option for slides. I know it won’t show if you actually present, but having images bleeding off the slide is distracting.

Yes, I am also looking for this solution. Anyone know how to clip frame on Figma slide deck?

Brian_Saunders

I think they probably did it like this to match other presentation tools like powerpoint. When edge bleed is too distracting for me, I just create a container frame that’s the same size as the slide and set that to clip instead. Kind of annoying but it gets the job done.

The reason it’s kind of annoying is that Slides makes it weirdly hard to paste or place content into frames and I’m hoping they fix that soon.

This is a much needed update. Its so distracting building a slide with all the content overflow constantly on display. There should be an option to hide it on demand.

Here is one of the out of the box slide templates. Its weird designing a slide with a giant square overflow visible at all times. Thank you team.
