Templates is kind a shit still. Changes updates don’t go to the files that are using the Template, what makes no sense to me, since is published as a Library.
And now, I went to sleep and woke up to continue my work on a slide deck, and i just lost all of the text styles of the template. Then, I’ll have to again, take one slide and reapply all the styles of the “new” template of the slide (is the same template, but “republished”. NO SENSE.
I just spent like 5+ hours to configure the Deck Template, and now is just not showing all the text styles… Just very frustrating and discouraging to keep using the tools.
Hey @Design_Abstrato, sorry to hear this is happening and apologies for the delayed reply!
Right now, this is expected behavior. Published template changes will only apply to new slide decks that are made with the updated template. The Slides team hasn’t yet built the capability to automatically push updates to existing Figma Slides. If you’d like to vote for this capability, you can do so here:
We’re not aware of a bug in Figma Slides Templates with Text Styles disappearing. How are you creating your Text Styles in Design Mode?
To create a text style, you will need to follow these steps:
1 - Enter Design mode (Shift +D)
2 - Write text in the Slide Deck
3 - Click on “Apply styles”
