Can't turn slide deck into a team template

I’m so thrilled about Figma slides; HOWEVER… i can’t seem to figure out how to turn my slide deck into a slide template that all my teammates can use.

i’m referencing this article: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/24290529512471-Create-and-publish-custom-slide-deck-templates

it says, " 1. Open the template you want to share.
2. Click Share in the right sidebar to open the Share modal.
3. Click Publish template. If the slide deck is in your drafts, you’ll be prompted to move it to a project."

When I click “share”, I don’t see a “publish template” option. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hey @jordan8, sorry to hear you’re having trouble publishing your Slide template!

Is your slide deck in your drafts or already in a project? And if in your drafts or not in a project, can you try moving it into a team and/or project before publishing to see if that helps?

Hi there -

I’m actually having the same problem and cannot find anyway to publish my slide presenTation. Were you able to find a solution for this?

@jordan8
The article “Create and publish custom slide deck templates” says that only users with Organization or Enterprise plans are able to publish Figma Slides Templates.

My company is on the Professional plan, so I don’t see a “Publish Template” option either. Here’s a table of the 4 types of plans: Starter, Professional, Organization, and Enterprise.

The second-best option is to have your coworkers use your file as a template.

Hi - I’m on the Organisation plan but I’m also unable to publish a template. The publish action is simply not visible in the Share window (nor in the file dropdown). Is this a Beta bug? Is there another way to publish?

Hi there,

If you’ve followed these steps and still can’t publish the template, there might be an issue. Could you please reach out to the support team here?

Thanks!
