Bug: Windows Desktop App renders blurry

In general, the UI renders blurry on my 35" Ultrawide monitor. Especially if I move the window. In this side by side screen capture, you can easily see the difference in how they are rendered in the web and desktop (left) and web (right) interfaces. Same file same zoom level (100%):

In addition, the instructions for scaling up the UI are pretty much for Mac only and should be updated to include better instructions and screenshots for Windows Users too. However, they will make UI elements larger but they are still softer and harder to read in general.

I had the same problem with the Windows desktop app, UI is blurry and hard to read on the ultrawide 34’’ screen. macOS doesn’t have this issue on the same screen.

Hi there, i had the same problem.
The way i fixed is, i went to my NVIDIA control panel and then to Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Select Figma > and if you cannot find it in the list you can Add a program, look for Antialiasing - FXAA and turn it off. That’s it.

I had this same issue running Figma in a browser on my Windows machine. Here’s how I solved it:

  • Somehow the default video settings were 125% even though I had previously changed it back to 100%
  • Go into Settings > Display > Scale and Layout > change the drop-down to 100%.

made a huge difference.

You are a genius. After many attempts, reading blogs and videos, this was the solution that worked. Thanks

I am having this issue too

I wanted to keep my custom scale on 150% and found another way to possibly fix the blurry desktop app:

Look for the Figma.exe in your Windows File Explorer → Right-click → Properties → Compatibility → Change high DPI settings → High DPI scaling override → Enable Application Override.
