When I add a prototype to a slide, it’s automatically placed in the center. If I want to move it (prototype without frame), I can’t, it interacts with the prototype, even in design mode. Instead I have to select another object and use the alignment options to move it.

If I want to mask the prototype or adjust the cropping so that it fits within the phone, I can’t. Also moving it to the bottom in layers, doesn’t seem to work. It always stays on top.

Anyone having the same issues?

Hey @Gareth_Emery, thanks for reaching out and sorry for the trouble!

Right now, it’s expected behavior for prototypes to be auto-centered when added to a Slide. The Slides team also hasn’t built any capability to mask, crop, or allow a prototype to be moved to the bottom in layers at this time.

I’ve updated your topic for clarity and changed it into a feature request. I’ll pass your feedback onto the Slides team for future consideration.

@Gareth_Emery I’ve found I can move the prototype around with the arrow keys in design mode - not ideal, but hold down shift and it moves 10px rather than 1px at a time.

I can crop the prototype vertically, too, in design mode. So that’s something.

Hi all,

To move the prototype freely, simply navigate to a different slide using the overview bar and then return to the slide containing your prototype. As long as the prototype is the first item you click on, you will be able to move it without any restrictions.
