We struggle with the best way to annotate our designs with accessibility notes. We’ve tried 3rd party and custom built solutions but none are ideal.
We love that annotations in Figma can be opened and collapsed to a single dot in the top right of the frame. So you can have accessibility notes hidden until you actually need them.
My idea is to have accessibility functionality in the annotation feature. So rather than just have a free form field, you could have a dropdown menu to select H1 or H2 tag. Or you could add a section for an alt text label. Stark plugin is good example of what I’m looking for with annotation capability.
At the very least, it would be great to have a free form field with styling capabilities like when adding a components description (see image below).
