I’m a hybrid UI/UX designer, and part of my work includes creating digital assets (like instructional gifs / videos, product launch gif). Right now I design in Figma but then have to switch to other tools (Premiere or After Effects) just to put videos together. When it comes to prototyping, it requires higher effort to update these contents and makes collaboration harder.

It would be amazing if Figma had some basic video editing features built in—nothing too heavy, but enough to:

  • Trim and stitch clips together
  • Add simple transitions or motion
  • Layer text, images, or overlays
  • Drop in audio tracks
  • Dev friendly

It’d be super useful for teams like mine that work on both design and content, and it could save us from jumping across multiple apps.
