[UNSOLVED] "Sort by" does not retain the selection.

I am opening this ticket again as it was flagged by Figma team as "Solved" while it is absolutely not solved.

I would like to retain the "Sort by" choice in folders (all folders set it once).

Why? Because every day I, and apparently many other users, manually change it to alphabetically more than a dozen times.

Let's do some math:

• Open folder 1s
• Search file 3s
• Realise it is not alphabetically sorted 1s
• Sort it alphabetically 3s
• Search file 2s
• Total time: 10s

This happens roughly 10x a day: 100s
In a working week 5x100s = 500s (ca. 8m)
In a working month 2.000s (ca 33m)
In a working year in EU 22500s (ca 6h15m)

So basically in a year ca 80% of one full working day goes away by changing the sorting of Figma.
