Tracking Views or Usage of My Prototypes

Hi, my organization nees the ability to track the usage of one or several prototypes and to be able to measure the accessibility and overal use, some kind of detailed analytics. We need to be able to see visitors per prototype and a history, date/time, visitor or guest, total number of visits etc. I know Invision had this feature Analitycs Dashboard were you could track all this. I’ m wondering if something similar is availabe in Figma. Maybe is already available somewhere, if yes, can you give me some hints on how to get there? Maybe a plug in available?

Thank you

Would very useful. Products like Walnut.io have analytics built in and ability to edit CSS. Webflow.io I expect you could code in Heap or Google. Maybe with code version of Figma dev or UX could embed analytics 3rd party to existing accounts?

It is embarrassing. I have to ask clients “Are you viewing it now? Tell me what screen you’re on now so I can tell you about it” 🤦‍♂️

+5 to this. I really need this to understand. This will help to identify how many have actually seen.

My workaround : https://www.shorturl.at/

You shorten your prototype url in this tool, then you are able to track the traffic on this specific URL.

As all designers nowadays know apps are increasingly being created using the UCD (user centred design) method, which got me thinking that Figma could add a feature that records how a user moves around in the Figma prototype. It would be handy to be able to hand over one of our devices and at the end of having it do a user test on our prototype to have some results, (like heatmaps of where the user clicked/tapped), and other interesting data to use. I am not talking about plugins or external companies, but the possibility of doing this directly is Figma.
It would be soo cool!

This is really needed, especially for unmoderated user research.

You can try Toaster; it’s a simple analytics tool for prototypes that records user interactions.

We recently built it and launched the web app on Product Hunt as well

The Figma plugin is coming soon as well 🙂
