Toggle Browser Overlays

I really hope there can me forward movement on this. It’s a pretty big gap for prototyping.

Many of us are building for both mobile web and mobile app. Please make this happen.

I would love to see an option for browsers frame in prototype device (like chrome, FireFox, etc…).
The browser frame size can be modified to a specific size, this option can be added to “Custom Size” with a drop down to choose the desired browser.

This feature would make me really happy 🙂
I always add a Top and URL Bar to all my screens so I get a good grip on how much space is really left on that mobile view. But when handing it over to dev those Bars cover up the content if it goes beyond. Would be really great if I could handover my prototypes directly without the need to prepare them.

Yes please! (Or let us add custom mockup images so we can include the browser’s header and footer in the mockup image ourselves.)

yes please. its a real issue - takes so much manual work to add this just to make a prototype work properly

I run into this issue almost daily. It would be a massive help to have browser-chrome available either as an option for existing prototype-devices, or as their own “device.” Currently, we get to choose the device and its colour, but not if the prototype is a website and should therefore be limited by OS and browser chrome.

This limitation is a real problem in my daily use.

For example, a MacBook Air has a display of 1280 by 832 px, but in Safari on macOS 26 the viewport for a website in a browser window wedged between macOS Menubar and Dock is significantly smaller. Viewport of 1280 by 693 px, thats 20% less! It also feels very different to scroll a full-screen design vs. scrolling a website rendered inside a stationary browser window.

It would help my work significantly, and almost every day, if Figma added browser-chrome as an option to prototype devices.
