Hello,

it would be great if theming would get some love, as probably most users don’t just have a light and dark theme but also different business units.

For a second/third business unit I don’t want to have all tokens, I only want a few that are changing and also on export, I only need the few that are neccessary.

Like I have tokens for a CTA: background, foreground, padding, gap …

I only want to change the background and foreground within a theme, but will get all variables doubled.

Maybe let us set one theme as core and while creating a new set, we can relate to core and overwrite the tokens needed.

Working on a organizational license.

Thanks

There are collections for that specific purpose. Organize your tokens better and you will be able to get that extra flexibility. Here is what it could be like → Light & dark mode for themes variables - #5 by Pavel_Kiselev

Hi,

Thanks, I use collection the way you do it, this is not what I want.

It should more likely work how Token Studio is approaching it. The do not mirror all 100+ color tokens within a new theme. You only set the few you really need.

The current theming is well suited for light, dark themes, but not really for brand theming, where I sometimes only need 20 out of 200 tokens changed.
