Text-style overrides like bold, underline, ... bug on instances

+1 Same need here, I’m amazed that I didn’t run into the issue earlier.

Oh no. It’s still an issue. Do I need to create a link style to avoid this?

me too.  I have to detach my instance just to change text styles.  this is an intermittent and inconsistent problem for me. 

Not sure if this is the same issue, but it is really close. 

Start by adding a text block, type any text in there you want.
Make that block a Component, and add in two more variations.
Change the colors of the other variants.
Select the boundary box for the component and add a Text Property. 
Drill down on each variant to get to the text and apply the Text Property you just made. (all still good)
Apply an underline to one of the variants. (mine all underline at this point)
Change the fill color for the text on one variant. (DING!) They all change? 

Only seems to happen when I add in the underline?

I’m still experiencing the same bug, and it seems to remain unresolved after several months. Would appreciate any status update from the team, especially whether this is currently being investigated or planned for a fix.

Man this is very very bad.
How is it possible that this is really a feature and not a bug? What’s the rationale behind this choice?
