Hello Figma! I was wondering if you could add this small feature called “Text on path” making bending much easy. It could also be better if it can merge with the frame so that it can add bg colors to it

Text on path

Hey
Text on a path is already built natively into Figma Design, so you can do this without any extra tools for the curving part. Here's how:
- Select the Text on a path tool from the toolbar.
- Hover over the path of a vector object (a shape or brush stroke) until the text-on-a-path cursor shows up.
- Click to add a new text layer and start typing — it'll wrap around the path as you go.
- Use the blue handle to set where the text begins. If you want it on the other side of the path, select Flip text orientation in the Typography section of the right sidebar.
You can find the full walkthrough in our Guide to text in Figma Design.
On the second part of your idea, merging the text-on-path layer with a frame so it can take a background color, that's not something we support today. There's no built-in way yet to add a fill behind just the curved text. I've passed this along as separate feedback for the team.
Hope this helps!
