Tables in Figma Slides Ideas for Improvement

The current Tables feature in Figma feels quite limited. It would be fantastic if some basic functionalities could be introduced soon, such as:

•	The ability to easily resize cells without needing to adjust font size
•	The option to merge cells
•	Top, middle, and bottom text alignment options

These enhancements would bring Figma’s table functionality more in line with what we already have in tools like Keynote and Google Slides.

    HI ​@djv - the lack of response re basic table functionality tells me Figma don’t intend to continue with Slides.. Is that the case? I want to recommend it to the team but I can’t if it’s not being supported or may cease to exist in the foreseeable..  Please let us know!

      Hi ​@djv - or anyone from Figma for that matter - can we please get an update on this? Or anything to do with future updates to Figma Slides for that matter....

      It Would be great to know if Figma intends to support and improve Figma Slides in coming updates???

        I’m bringing this up again! What’s the plan for improving the figma Slides tables? We really need this! I don’t need to repeat the users’ requests again. They’re all listed in this thread. What’s the plan for the tables? When will it be ready? I hope you’ll be releasing a major update for Slides at Config 26.

        Hey All, thanks for continuing to leave your feedback and ask for updates! 

        I want to be straight with you. I did flag this to the team and asked for an update at the beginning of the year in January, but no new updates from the team yet. I'd rather tell you that plainly than continue to string your hopes along.
         

        I'm continuing to advocate internally, and this thread is exactly the kind of signal that matters to product teams. Keep the feedback coming, and I'll update you here as soon as I have something meaningful to share.

          Hey djv thanks for the honest update, I’m sure I can speak for everyone that any reply is better than no reply. I will be attending the config 26 and looking forward to any improvements made to Figma Slides but at least we now know to not set improved expectations for updated table features 😞

            Maybe it would be better to focus on fully developed procucts before releasing 10 new Ai Tools within figma ecosystem ... 👎

            I just want to make the dang rows smaller to fit in more data.

            Seems like font size or line height doesn’t adjust it, and manually resizing stops at like 91 height?

            10000%. I can’t even make the rows the desired size 🙄
