Swapping Components/Varients that are different sizes (anchor points)

Is there a way to select instances and swap their components (or the values of their variants) that are different sizes and not have them pinned to the top left? So if I have a tall component and want to swap it for a wide component, I’d like it to stay anchored to the centre of the current instance’s position.

It seems like being able to choose one of the 9 anchor points (NW > SE) would be a feature, but I cannot see it.

I tried to make a plugin to do it, which worked (though ‘groups’ did mess it up the coordinates system; frames worked fine) but the plugin was unable to source my library files (teamLibrary?) for items possibly due to API restrictions. This plugin would solve the issue entirely, but if it cannot access library components, it’s non-viable.
