Shaders from Figma Motion don't translate to Figma Make

When asking Figma Make to recreate an animation done in Figma Motion using shaders, it doesn’t do it properly, answering the following:

Hi ​@rrrrrrami, thanks for reaching out!

I understand the confusion here, but as shown in your screenshot, this is currently expected behavior. Shaders from Figma Motion are not currently supported in Figma Make. I’ve updated your topic into a feature request to gauge interest in this capability from the Community. 

With more overall interest, we’ll continue to monitor this topic and advocate for its implementation on behalf of the Community. 

That said, as a temporary solution, since you cannot directly push shaders into Make, you can use the following methods to transfer your animations:

  • Export as Video: Export the animated shader frame as an MP4, WebM, or GIF directly from the Figma Motion panel, then upload the file into your Figma Make chat.
  • Generate Code: Use the new Dev Mode Motion tab to inspect your easing and spring curves, or use the Figma MCP server to send the CSS and JSON animation specifications to your coding agent.
