Set the URL of a link using a property or variable

Hi!

I’m trying to create an “author credit” component to document a design system. The component has a link to the original resource. All text will be set using component properties.

Is it possible to create a property so the link URL is filled in the instance instead of using overrides?

    PLEASE! such a simple but very useful feature, it's important for Figma to have these type of quality of life improvements on variables and design tokens, such as this. up your game guys!

      Adding my voice to see when this will get added. The fact that we are all building websites and apps that link to other pages, linking to a real website doesn’t seem that far fetched. We already have the interaction built in Figma. We just need to map the Link to a property variable/value. Something like below.
