Set min width for nested component instance

An edge case however I’d love to see this update eventually.

I have a segmented button component that contains nested button component variants.
This segmented button component lives in many different places in my UI, utilising the different forms of the nest button component (text , icon, icon and text)
I’d like to be able to set a min width to the nested button components inside my segmented button component instance WITHOUT having to set the min width to the master button component.

Thank you.

There seems to be a bug where the Min and Max values do not show up on component instances?

The values do get applied, but they do not show up in the W (width) and H (height) fields, so there is no way to see that’s where the width is coming from, or to clear the min / max when an override is needed.

NOTE: this seems to happen only with nested components. In my example I have a button component, inside a “Button Group (Save or Cancel)” component. An instance of the button shows the Min width, but the button in an instance of the button group does not.

Possibly related: Can’t remove min and max height when the component is nested

Hi  Dustin,
I have the same problem. Did you find any solution?
Thank you!

I’m also having the same problem. Couldn’t fathom the reason.

This happens with nested components. There doesn't seem to be anything to do except wait for an update to cover this issue. Simple but annoying :(

This would be really helpful for tables with nested table columns. The min / max  widths helps communicate to the developer how the table will behave when it gets resized

Same issue… it is making my whole prototype freak out due to auto layout settings and losing the max width ..

Same issue… really frustrating when I spent loads of time creating a complex component only to see it completely screw up when nested inside another component and I can’t think of any other way to make it work!
