Scale as a property

Scale is one of my most used properties when designing interactions and states. It would be great if we had true ‘scale’ as a property.

No, I’m not talking about the scale tool. That’s fake scale that affects the width/height of elements.

I want the ability to enter something like ‘1.5’ and change the scale of an element, respectively.

Not sure if this has been resolved yet, but I was struggling with this today and found the solution. Went back to a material icon set to see how they set it up. For me the problem was I had auto layout applied to the Nested logo component or holding container. Here is my solution:

— Card component (either fixed or hug, doesn’t matter)
— Nested logo frame fixed at 24px square (fixed, no auto layout applied, set to “scale”)
— Logo artwork

Unbelievable the fact this still an issue on August 2024!

Anyway guys, I found this workaround that helped in my use case(Scaling without messing up with Stroke proprieties from nested components), check it out:

another +1.

Not having it is a major setback in a lot of systems I use.

Also dealing with this issue, and I’d like to see it fixed beyond just the icon strokes. Text size and auto-layout margins/padding doesn’t carry over for my either.

Yes! I often get stuck because I can’t do this. It means you can’t apply a real scaling. I want it to just scale in the viewport, like how scale works in css. Is that too much to ask?!
