This new bulk edit option is so painful for non designer marketing team memebers to edit on there own. The whole purpose of buzz make it simple for marketing team to edit content on there own. And with now with per frame editing option gone, it has become so difficult for anyone to update content now. Also this new bulk edit feature is too buggy and keeps crashing

Hi @Sahil Badgewar, Celyn from Figma Community Support here.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback. I'm sorry to hear you're running into crashes with the new bulk edit feature.

I've gone ahead and created a support ticket for you so the team can investigate this further. Your ticket number is #1939065.

It would be really helpful if you could reply directly to the ticket with a screen recording showing the crash, along with the file link where you're experiencing the issue.

Please also invite support-share@figma.com with “Can View” access (this won’t impact your billing and will allow us to reproduce the issue and investigate further with Engineering).

Someone from the team will be reaching out soon, so please keep an eye on your inbox. Thank you for your patience in the meantime.

Hi @Celyn_L !

I’m also having this issue, should I also invite support-share@figma.com to my file?

Hi @Saleenah Saint Louis, I’m sorry to hear that you’re running into issues editing in Figma Buzz as well.

I’ve gone ahead and created a support ticket for you so the team can investigate this further and work with you directly. Your ticket number is #1943586.

Yes, it would be really helpful if you could reply to the ticket with a link to the affected file and invite support-share@figma.com with Can View access.

If possible, please also include a screen recording showing the steps you're taking and when the crash occurs. This will help the team reproduce the issue and investigate more effectively.

In the meantime, as a workaround, you should still be able to edit items directly on the canvas instead of using Bulk Edit by switching to Asset View in the Figma sidebar.

I hope this helps! Please keep an eye on your inbox, and someone from the team will be in touch with next steps soon.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime.

I second bringing back the Edit Feature on the side bar. It was so user friendly for Marketing colleagues. I wonder if you can’t have both the bulk edit feature and the stand alone?

Marcus Schoch

Also for our team the single frame edit was essential to our workflow. Especially on files where the assets do not have the same structure, the bulk edit is super bloated and really difficult to use.

I dont see why it was just replaced by this bulk edit as there is enough space in the side bar to keep both of the edit options - single and bulk.

For now a lot of hard work is basically lost because of this decision, please bring it back.

Jessica Cleveland

I also want this feature to come back. I have been working for months on setting up our social media team to be able to use Figma Buzz and all of my documents and instructions have to change because of this. It almost makes me want to go back to Canva.

In addition, it is super not user friendly to use the bulk edit tab and if editing directly on the graphic, it makes it very confusing for our social media team to figure out which layers they are able to edit. The individual frame editing was a big part of what made Figma Buzz great.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback and explain how these changes have impacted your workflows.

I've gone ahead and shared your feedback with the team, including the requests to bring back individual frame editing alongside Bulk Edit. I've also passed along the context you've shared around how the previous editing experience better supported your workflows, as well as your feedback on Bulk Edit's usability and performance.

We really appreciate everyone taking the time to explain your use cases. That context is incredibly valuable as the team evaluates feedback on the editing experience in Figma Buzz.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us 🙏

I agree this is a terrible ui decision. the whole point of buzz is now nil.

@Celyn_L any updates on if this is coming back?

Hey @Jessica Cleveland, thanks for checking in!

I've shared all of your feedback with the team, and I know how important this is for your workflow. At the moment, I don't have any new updates to share, but please know that your feedback has been heard.

As soon as I have anything new to share, I'll update this thread right away. Thanks again for your patience 🙏

Want to second all of this ^ Buzz has lost its primary purpose for our team of being user friendly for non-design colleagues with this new update. The Bulk Edit feature has it’s use for sure, but I don’t think it should replace the individual frame editing capabilities. It feels very clunky and confusing for what our team needs.

Is there anyway we can get some sort of confirmation that you are actually working on this and not just postponing it indefinitely…

It is SUPER frustrating and confusing to even power users let alone clients who hardly know the difference between a gif and a baguette.

Hi @audra.f and @o-s.studio, thanks for sharing your thoughts and for explaining how this change has affected your workflows.

I really appreciate your patience while waiting for an update. I understand that many of you preferred the previous individual frame editing workflow, and I've shared all of your feedback from this thread with the team.

To be as transparent as I can, at this time there aren't any current plans to bring back the previous individual frame editing workflow. That said, if anything changes in the future, we'll be sure to update this thread.

Thank you all again for taking the time to share your feedback and experiences. We really appreciate you continuing to let us know how these changes impact your workflows 🙏

Please bring back the previous Edit Content panel. I’m sure the Bulk Edit is valuable in specific scenarios but it would be best if the user can choose which way they want to edit.

I second what everyone else has said in here. Not only is the removal of a user friendly UI for non-design teams short-sighted at best. The bulk edit is so horribly thought through that it makes the whole tool pointless. I’d rather just make the assets myself for the marketing team.

Every single layer shows up, cosmetic or field. We can’t hide them from the template level so I have to teach my marketing team how to hide them if they want to be able to use an excel sheet that scrolls right to eternity. Because it doesn’t even display on the top or bottom half of the screen, it was made to scroll horizontally but to appear on a narrow panel on the left. Not above or below the preview.

Having layout options is also pointless because that’s the one thing we can’t make that change on bulk mode. We have to leave bulk mode, but suddenly when we come back, every single column we hid is visible again.

Why did you do this? Why even invest in buzz to do this?

We have now stopped using buzz due to this bulk upload feature and switched to Canva as it was becoming extremely difficult for marketing team to work here. Its already been months and I don’t think they are going to bring this back, thankyou for ruining a good tool :(

Hi All, thank you for taking the time to add your experiences here!

I completely understand how this change has made your work harder. I want to give you a clear answer rather than keep you waiting on one. We've raised this thread with the Buzz team more than once, and I'm not in a position to tell you that individual frame editing is coming back. I don't have a timeline to share, and I don't want to suggest one may be coming when I can't stand behind it. I'd encourage you to plan your team's workflows around what's available in Buzz today rather than waiting on this returning.

The closest option available now is switching to Asset view in the left sidebar, which lets you edit assets directly on the canvas without going through Bulk Edit. I know it isn't the panel you had, but it avoids the bulk workflow entirely.

Taimoni Knighton

Hello! Would like to file a complaint here as well. Before it was easy for our Marketing team to use these components but it has since become incredibly difficult. The individual ‘edit content’ feature was so helpful for the team and more user-friendly. Why did Figma make this change? I can see little to no benefit from a UX perspective.

Olivia Natale

Hi! Adding another user experience here! It’s become extremely cumbersome for our marketing team to edit assets without the individual edit content panel. That panel made things so intuitive by exposing labels for what needed to be edited, and we could put useful instructions in those exposed labels. Please bring this back!

@Olivia Natale @Taimoni Knighton @Sahil Badgewar @Jen Midgley @o-s.studio @audra.f @Jessica Cleveland @Laura Jay @Saleenah Saint Louis

For now since our social cards designs and work depends on the individual edit. i created a plugin that does the exact same thing as before. i added editing components variations to it as well Please give it a try. i’m open to enhancements and fixes quickly. :

Once/If figma bring it back  i remove the plugin.
