In the UI3 I need to use the shortcut for this very helpful functionality “Paste to Replace”. Please bring it back in the Command menu (even you can hide it under “Copy /paste as …” but don’t delete it.
thanks!

Hi @Gerard_Pamies, Thank you for your input on the Paste to replace!

We’d love to understand more about how you’d prefer to access that.
I’ve tested it on my end in UI3, and it seems you can use “Paste to replace” in several ways after selecting and copying an object:

  • As you mentioned, keyboard shortcut (Mac: Shift + Command + R)
  • It appears in the menu when you right-click on a selected layer
  • Go to the Toolbar > select the Actions menu > search for “Paste to replace”
  • Click the Figma icon in the top left corner > choose Edit > “Paste to replace”

Please let us know if I overlooked anything.
Thanks again for your input!

Thanks for your reply. I think it was a bug or something.
Now I can see the command “Paste to replace” in the menu after right-click (in UI3 as in the previous UI).
