Not sure if it’s just me and if I’m doing something wrong, but just having the exclamation mark notifying you that there is a conflict or issue with a mode that uses variables is too vague. I spent over two hours trying to identify the issue. I got a message telling me to ‘Library assets may need to be republished...’ which fixed nothing.

In the end i found out the was an issue caused by me changing/organinsing some of the variables in my design systems ‘Layout mode’.

The section that had the layout variables applied was still showing the correct values, so as far as i could tell all was good, so couldn’t understand the issue:-

I get that if something changes in the design system that it can effect the file that uses it as a library, and there may be confilcts, missing variables and that Figma will do its best to make up for such issues.

It would be good to be able to somehow identify exactly what’s causing the issue, mybe an icon or similar to the pickwick on finding where a colour is used...

Rant over!
