LAUNCHED: Hide Slides

I’m curious why Figma missed it. Did they forget to check their competitor’s slide tools? 😀

Agreed! Weird miss indeed, it’s still in beta though so might just be in the pipeline 🤞

As @Maite_Who mentioned, the Slides team officially launched the ability to hide slides yesterday! 🚀

Hey! So I discovered something today that kinda works as a “hide slides” system, while we wait for the actual feature.
You can copy/cut slide and paste them anywhere in the canvas around your slide deck (when you’re in grid mode), which is very helpful to have components or other slides you don’t wish to present.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the red and green slide are not part of my slide deck, there are “hidden”:

It’s great that we have the skipped slide options.

What would be really great if we had either if these functionalities:
1. the ability of pasting off grid (I just tried and couldn’t) like above which seems to have been removed​​​​​​​
2. The option to “hide” slides in the presentation mode BUT can link to – like an overlay – for when you want showcase info that isn’t part of the main flow
3. to properly link to other slides WITHOUT leaving the current presentation.
