Jarring experience with hiding/showing left panel in UI3

Hi Figma,

Could the right panel stay fixed when the left panel is hidden? I'm not sure why it switches from fixed to floating. Also, when I zoom in on an element with the left panel hidden, parts of its area gets hidden behind the floating right panel. Is that the expected behavior?
