The Problem
When working on long artboards, particularly for mobile designs or landing pages, selecting the entire artboard is inefficient. If I am scrolled to the bottom of the page, I have to scroll all the way back to the top just to click the artboard's name/title. This breaks the design workflow for a very common action.
Â
Proposed Solution
Allow a user to select an artboard from any point within its boundaries. A possible implementation could be:
-
When the user hovers over an empty area of an artboard, its name (e.g., "iPhone 14 Pro - 1") appears as a clickable tooltip or overlay.
-
Clicking this name would select the entire artboard frame.
This provides a quick selection method without interfering with selecting other layers, as it would only appear over the artboard's empty background.

Benefit
This feature would significantly speed up workflow and reduce unnecessary scrolling, making the design process smoother for anyone working with long-format content.
