This functionality exists in Photoshop and it's pretty useful, especially for those of us that use a tablet and pen instead of a mouse on a daily basis.
Having to do the keyboard shortcut to zoom in and out gets repetitive very quickly. Simply holding the “Z” and left click up/down or right/left to zoom would be huge
