In Dev mode, sometimes the effects designed by the designer are not suitable for the developer.

The developer may only need a cutout that contains a part of the layer or effect instead of the full cutout.

But in Dev mode, there is no function to hide the layer or effect (small eyes), which will result in the designer having to deal with the extra layer repeatedly every time.
