FIGMA MAKE - Reading/Viewing Variants/Modes for Library Components

I feel that there should be the ability for Figma MAKE to look at the variants of a component that is being used from a published library. 

For example, I have created a text input field component and have asked Fimga MAKE to create this as working text field. I have constructed the component to use variants (Static, Active, Value Added, Error and Disabled) but frustratingly the system is not smart enough to look at the variants I have created in order to base its design from.
