My team needs to review all UI copy. That copy goes into a library so we can be consistent across the product. I’m trying to review and update the copy in Figma Make. However, it’s impossible to extract the reviewed copy so I can add it to the library.
A separate file in code view would not only make it easier to review and make sure we haven’t missed anything (even if we then have to update the .tsx file also) but also have that record.
Update here for anyone looking to do the same thing. What I’ve done is created a prompt to ask it to move all text into a separate file, referencing it by constants in the code files. I also added a separate UI text guidelines file for text guidelines (with a reference in the main guidelines.md file), so that the text it creates is more in line with our standards.
I’m not 100% sure it’s working as intended or catching all text, but it’s better it’s a start of a process.
