Revolutionary idea, I know.
Currently, when someone requests edit access to a file, the admin gets a friendly little "Approve" button. What that button doesn't mention: clicking it silently adds a Full/Dev seat at €15–20/month to your invoice. No price shown, no seat-type info, no confirmation step. You find out when your card gets charged.
Suggested enhancement:
- Show the actual cost on the approval dialog and in the request email (e.g. "Approving will add 1 Full seat: €20/month")
- Add a confirmation step for any action that creates a recurring charge — like literally every other subscription product manages to do
- Bonus: let admins approve as view-only by default instead of auto-upgrading to paid seats
I'm sure this is just an oversight and not a deliberate design choice that quietly grows ARR. Either way, EU regulators have a word for interfaces that hide the financial consequences of a click until the invoice arrives, so it might be worth fixing before they get to it.
